Young 9 Foundation provides support to Katie Blessing Center

When the Katie Blessing Center, soon to be North Carolina’s largest and most advanced pediatric behavioral health care facility, launched their Student Advisory Council, Young 9 Foundation was happy to partner with them to make their kickoff event more memorable.

Comprised of thirty local middle and high school students from ten different school districts in the Charlotte area, the Student Advisory Council plays a key role in designing the Center’s new facility, developing programs for children and teens, and engaging in awareness campaigns, fundraising, and volunteering. The program also provides members with opportunities to explore mental health careers, advocate for mental health and mentor peers.

At the kickoff event, the students were updated on Katie Blessing Center’s construction and fundraising plans, met with its leadership team, and received gift bags featuring Carolina Panthers and Bryce Young merchandise donated by Young 9 Foundation.

Young 9 Foundation is honored to partner with this special initiative and support their mission of advancing mental health for area youth.
