Recognizing World Mental Health Day with the Young 9 Foundation

On October 10, the Young 9 Foundation recognized World Mental Health Day by highlighting the importance of mental health and well-being for everyone. The foundation dedicated this day to honoring mental health workers, particularly those who support children.

The day began with surprise visits to several outstanding workplaces, where breakfast was delivered to mental health professionals who provide vital support to adolescents. Each delivery also included Carolina Panthers gift bags filled with journals, stress balls, and mindfulness bands, courtesy of the Young 9 Foundation, for the youth at each location.

Emily Johnson, Chief Advancement Officer at Hopeway, expressed the impact of the day, saying, "I have received so many messages of appreciation from the staff. Thank you for brightening the clients' and staff's day today."

World Mental Health Day served as an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the countless spaces that prioritize mental health every day. The Young 9 Foundation was honored to show appreciation to a few outstanding workplaces in our community.
